Our In-House Laboratory

Without lab work, we wouldn’t be able to fully understand your pet’s health or detect traces of internal parasites, infection, and other underlying issues. Boughton Square Animal Clinic is outfitted with an in-house lab that allows us to run a variety of blood, urine, and fecal tests and get results within minutes. When urgency is a factor, our in-house lab can give our team the answers we need to provide the best care to your pet.

In addition, we can send test samples to outside laboratories for comprehensive analysis. We rely on these labs for most of our non-urgent testing.

Digital Radiology and Ultrasound

X-rays for dogs and cats are not much different from human X-rays. Our team uses digital X-ray technology to more efficiently obtain X-ray images of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal systems. With digital X-ray, we get higher-quality images that we can email to you or other facilities in a matter of minutes. What’s more, digital X-rays can be taken much more quickly than traditional film X-rays, which means your pet will be able to experience a shorter appointment.

Ultrasound gives us the ability to evaluate the soft tissue organs in more detail and determine their size, shape, and function with surprising clarity. Unlike static X-ray images, ultrasound allows us to view the organs in motion. We primarily use ultrasound to monitor pregnancies in pets.
